Sending unit modification for Air Dog pickup tube.

That is on an 05 cummins. I installed Scott's Air Dog the same way on his 2002. Mine is done the same way on my 2003 and I also did my buddy Matt's the same way on his 2006. I can't even remember how many I have done for customers through the shop though. I did mine this way 3 1/2 years ago after I had problems with the way I had it in the body of the tank. The sending unit does not swap like the rest of the tank thats why this works out a lot better.

never thought of mounting a regular draw straw like that, looks like it works, but vulcan has the draw straw V which is made to mount like that comes with the flex tubing like the stock lp has and has a small pickup tube that clips into the same spot that the stock lp was.....very affordable upgrade and it has a better seal then just the push thru groumet. i have been using them since they came out they work very good

seems to work well with the custom set up, for sure it will run great with your own choice of specs.

Ok guys, I have a question. My fuel cage and sending unit look nothing like the one you show here. The bottom is a plastic cup containing the double layer of mesh and it snaps into place. The middle section has the sending unit on the side of it and slides up inside the top section that actually has the fittings for the hoses and the electrical connections and sits on the top of the tank. The entire unit is plastic. So how do I need to modify this invention to keep the AirDog from starving? Does anyone else have this fuel cage? I will post pics if I can figure out how.
