I have some specialty tools that I've both made and purchased over the years, that might get used once in a blue moon, and it's sure nice to have them when you need them. In my opinion, one can never have too many tools.
I kind of agree, if it's something that is keeping me from finishing some work...I'll pay. Even so, $50 seems a little too much.

Michael, are these crowfeet useful for getting to the bolt hidden behind the turbo mounting flange ?

One of my (not any longer) best kept secrets
You can tighten them with the crowfoot to apply the "corrected" torque, but they are way to sensitive to loosen the bolt behind the turbo.
Did I mention that we talk about 50Euros...
