Just wanted to have some fun.
Most people call this a sledge hammer. It is a Maul.
Sledge hammers have a shorter Handel and are used with one hand.
Mauls take two hands to use.
Or a smaller maul that can be used with one hand is a mallet.
All hammers are one handed operation.

MAUL. Malls are what teenage girls go to when they're trying to get a glimpse of me. And it is a matter of geography and culture really... My dad's family all refer to a "maul" as a two-handed sledgehammer with a blade on one end for driving splitting wedges into logs or using as a splitting wedge itself.

My 2x4 with rubber around the end is a BegleStick, used for shutting down a runaway engine.

Here's some more.

Number 1&2 looks like a cable crimper, made during the days when they made stuff solid and not that flimsy as today.
It looks like it could be used from the other side too.
Or could be a tube flaring tool.

No3&4 looks like a pulley to lift things with a rope.

the last two are a picture of Fencing pliers used to drive/pull staples, cut, and twist wire.
