got me a month ago, 35 gallons iin main tank, they bypassed the locking cap and removed the filler hose and got it there, then they removed the pump on the 110 gallon tank in the bed and drained it as well, madd as a wet hen at this point, knew who it was but cops couldnt do anything, 2 weeks ago they drilled holes in the main tank, got that fixed, bad thing was they stole my gas cans each time, they hit again but this time had main tank laced with sugar and acetone, and and enoufgh red dye to look good, hey guess what the punks diesel down the road DIED last weekend, now i can put in my new fuel tank, and not worry about thieves, oh and his dad and i had a long discussion about if i ever cought his boys butt on my property for any reason, both of their butts would need the medical chopper,

They had stolen my gas cans two years ago too.
I ordered two lockable gas can carriers. Same model the military uses for their purposes.
No theft since then, but they tried to steal the gas cans. They tried to cut the locks with a bolt cutter...

Hahaha, -military stuff is well fabricated.
Added a switch in the gas filler lid additionally to the car alarm. So at least it makes noise, before they start to destroy something, It was cheap: 1,20,-€ for the switch and a hour work to wire it correctly.

The auto parts store used to sell a coiled steel spring that would slide down the fill pipe to make it hard to put a tube down. I have not seen them lately.

Man I am glad I live in a small town. If someone was dumb enough to steal my fuel they really are retards because the keys are usually in the ignition pretty much everywhere I go. Most people know me well enough to know I aint violent, but you with someones vehicle or hit a girl. God forbid I get a hold of you! I dont own a gun yet but it is on the to do list soon, but I prefer to take my anger out with an old fashioned beatin.

I hate thieves. People have told me thieves are people too. Bullshit unless they are stealing to provide for their family, there is no reasonable theft. But then again I am a firm believer of helping most people in need. So if they need, it they just need to ask. What happened to helping out others and your neighbors? Maybe I am just old fashioned, but I wish there were more people around with the same beliefs, that are my age and any age for that matter. Kids these days, including my age, early 20s, dont have any manners or beliefs that were taught to them.

No kiddin'. I'm more worried about somebody putting something "in" there that don't belong than siphoning fuel "out."

If you ever actually removed one of those suckers you'd know that ain't happenin'. You'd be gettin' violent using more than a stick with the fill tube in a vise on your workbench.

I do like the armored tank idea, but a bit impractical, methinks....
