FS: 1997 F250 Powerstroke ext cab long bed 35" MT's 6" lift $12000 obo
Hello all, this is what I’m selling. It’s a 1997 Ford F250 XLT. It has 4x4, a 7.3 Powerstroke diesel with 240k miles (still has another 250k+ miles if taken care of), sliding rear window, 8ft box, extended cab, BRAND NEW 35” Dunlop Fierce Attitude M/T tires, floor mats, 2 brand new 20 gallon fuel-tanks, a brand new transfer pump (to switch between fuel tanks), seat covers, Mossy Oak steering wheel guard, new injectors, new glow plugs, a new automatic transmission, 2 new batteries, new alternator, power windows, VERY good working air-conditioning, good heat, rhino lining along the rockers, the underbody is very-very clean. The truck has a 6” Superlift suspension lift. The truck also has a 5” exhaust, and a 3” down pipe. The truck sounds almost stock-like (if not quieter…) in the cabin; the turbo spools loud and the blow-off sounds great. But it’s not deafening whatsoever… I can still listen to the radio or chat on the cellphone while travelling down the highway. The truck also has a BHAF 6637 air filter. The truck gets about 18mpg around town, and 22-23mpg on the open highway with cruise control on. The truck starts and runs absolutely amazing. The truck idles great. There are no fluctuations in coolant temp and never any signs or issues of overheating. The truck also has a towing packing on it, which has the heavy duty tow hitch as well as Ford wiring harness installed. The truck has served me well and NEVER left me stranded. The only reason I’m selling is because I want to pick up another project to mess with. I am asking $11,500 obo. I say obo because I am negotiable, but lets not get carried away with negotiations. The fact is, these diesels and f250’s last forever, and are highly sought after. Mine is NOT mint; it’s not a show truck. It’s a work truck that’s been cared for and very well taken care of, that just. With winter coming, this is the truck to have. It’s great in the snow; I just upgraded from some beefy 33’s, and rarely EVER had to use 4x4… and these 35’s are even beefier. The issues with the truck? Namely, the tailgate is rusted out at the bottom. The tailgate is still plenty strong, and has 2 brand new steel support straps. I have parked my 1200lb+ 1978 John Deere 200 on the tailgate and there were no issues, but it is rusted and ragged looking. Any questions, feel free to contact. I have no issue showing off the truck or letting serious people take it for a spin; I have nothing to hide! This is just a straight-up fantastic truck that you will fall in love with as I have, and will get you through any terrain, and will pull any load.
I'm asking $12,000 or best offer... I do NOT need to sell the truck, but I have another project in mind so if I get a decent number thrown at me, I'd sell the truck. I live next to an international airport, and I'm also down for delivering the truck to anywhere.
