Good way to advertise a truck...

I had a '97 F350, XLT PSD with a somewhat rusty utility body on it. It was otherwise in good shape; that is, the cab and front of the truck was rust free. It had had its oil changed every three thousand miles, and only had 75,000 on it. I put it on Auto Trader (something like that), and a fella from Boise, Idaho bought it sight unseen for $8,000. Well, and I didn't realize this, it had some rust problems around the rear spring shackles . He told me after having paid $1,000 to a transport company to have it shipped to Boise and having it inspected by mechanics there, that they said it was actually unsafe to drive. Now I don't know if that's actually a fact, but if you're considering buying an eleven (or more) year old truck, you had better be careful about things like rust on the frame, especially if said truck comes from the north where salt is used on the roads in the winter.
