You can always do the 47Re to 47rh. It would be no different then converting to a five speed. When I converted my last truck to a five speed I grounded out the neutral safety and bypassed the PCM trying to control the engine on my 01. Lots of guys told me it wouldnt work but I ran it for a year with no problems.

, wonder why he told me - it wouldnt work?...I honestly dont know enough about it to even guess if it would work.

He also said youd need new driveshafts etc. Maybe he meant that its not a direct bolt in?

He prolly meant trying to convert the actual trans from RH to RE. We all know that anything will go into anything given enough engineering and attention to detail!

At any rate, the trans sold this morning! Thanks to all those who inquired!!
