Talked with the shop looking for a motor, gotta hear back from the guy who owns the truck, but I can bet he is going to want it. I take it was running fine, not a run hard and put away hot deal, this guy needs a motor, he doesn't need a headache.

 

nah engine was running great when the truck was wrecked. i always let it get to 350-400 egt and under 200 engine temp before shutting it down. i pulled a sled 3 times and never drag raced it. i driver 92 miles a day for work down 95 so the mileage is all highway non towing. heck i had bombs sitting waiting to go in it. i was going to rebuild the truck til i found out the frame was bent. if i had the money the engine would be going into a d-100 for a drag truck but i don't have the cash to support that project. since i'm rebuilding a 1979 diesel rabbit for a daily driver.
still 5k if picked up.
