The Price Request system from the vendors view
Ok folks, here is some thoughts from the vendors stand point......

As far as what has been going on lately, with all the "can you price match this can you price match that" from products on e-bay or other auction sites. most of the vendors on here cant compete with e-bay and here is why... the guys from e-bay go to a manufacturer and buy 500 gauges for say for $50 each, and sell them for $75. They make $25 per gauge X 500 gauges = $12,500.00 in there pocket. Guys like us are paying $75 for that gauge and selling it for $100 and maybe only sell 1-5 a month. So no, most of the time a vendor cant price match ebay.
But keep in mind that on e-bay the cheaper prices also mean "Buyer Beware". It is estimated that as much as 80% of the items for diesel performance on ebay are VOID as far as the warranty because they are not authorized dealers for the name brand that they are selling and are actually selling illegally. You can buy an electronic fueling box off a guy on e-bay at a cheaper price, but when it goes bad don't expect the manufacturer to honor the warranty. You have to send your receipt with the item and when they see it's not from an authorized seller or was sold below MAP pricing they send it back to you still broke. Manufacturer's are trying to stop this cut throat selling. Some guys have PM'd me asking hey dealer X is selling for $300 shipped can you beat it? As dealers we have to sell at or above the (MAP) Minimum Advertised Price policy. If MAP is $300 then no we can not price match, if a dealer sells below MAP they can lose there license to sell that product as well as you can have your warranty VOIDED by the manufacturer! If you have a question about what the MAP price is on an item, just send a PM to any vendor or look on the net. If you go to 2-3 sites that have the same product listed for the same price good chance thats MAP price.
Let us know! When you make a price request and 1,2,3,4,5, ECT dealers post up in it telling you
if you buy from one or if you buy from another site what ever the case maybe post it up in the thread! When a vendor spends the time to make you a price quote tell them thanks even if you don't buy from them! The only thing that can make a business better is FEED-BACK from its customers! Please keep us informed of who you bought from and a thank you is always nice! We work hard for you let us know you appreciate it!
