You may use Transgo kits, but there's alot more to an aftermarket valvebody than a shiftkit friend. Not to mention, your purchasing somthing with a warranty, your also purchasing a tested product. Most of the DIY customers we have wouldnt be interested in installing their own shift kit. For Instance, Suncoast is a Transgo Dealer. They install transgo shift kits and valves in most of their valvebodys BUT after pressure checks, shift point checks and so on there's alot more involved than putting a shift kit in. Do you know how many times the average person will remove and install a the pan to acheive the same shifts that the aftermarket valvebodys offer? I'd say atleast 4.

You do need to add the cost of a tranny guy installing and adjusting the tfod , brain did all the ones im talking about. if your doing it your self it would be easier to buy one already done , it depends on the cost

Most good valvebodys (for discussion sake) are say $400-$500. Some are less. But You figure the $150.00 shift kit, Having it properly installed, the cost of them changing the fluid, and possibly needing adjustment again. This is a project any DIY guy could do in an afternoon.

I agree that for alot of people the shift kit would work great, but the would atleast need a good report on the installers previous customers .

I will agree with ya Chad on the Torque Shift Trans. My 04 6.0 with the SCT shifted like a built dodge trans with nothing more than a SCT.

The ProLoc setup is designed for racing applications. So I could see where the shifting would be to radical for ya.
