Default Programmer for 2001 Cummins

I am going to start to build my 2001 2500 Dodge to the way I like. I think a programmer is the first step. I know some may say the tranny but I am going with the programmer. Then valve body and torque converter etc.... I do not want to spend the $$$ for 40 horses only to have to start again when I want more. What do you recommend and how much?

The smarty for our trucks is a waste of money. the edge juice with attitude and hot unlock is a great set up or the quad adrenaline with pulse. either one of these will give the most power for the money on a vp44 truck. i have run all 3 on my 99 and can tell you all about them. pm sent to you with details

I think the Quad would be a good choice. I strongly recommend making sure your fuel delivery is up to the task before you start pumping more power to it. It will save you money in the long run as injector pumps don't come cheap. A good set of guages would be a good idea as well.
