Default which to buy? 98 12v or 04 cr

I need some advice. I found a 98 12v QC 4wd 5sp 147k mi. I am wondering how much is too much for this truck? Or should I go with the 04 QC 6sp 64k mi.

I looked for FOREVER (1 year) for a decent 98 12v QC 4wd 5spd. All I could find was duallys, garbage or stock and $20k or more, and NONE were 5spd. I had to settle. I, personally prefer the durable (lack of computerized) aspect of the 12v, however it's nice having the availability of all the aftermarket modifications for the 04... And, the 24v definitely has more power (especially with the accessories and upgrades available). I like to drive my 01 better than the 92 I have for work. I would, however, rather fix the work truck than my daily driver (maybe I am biased because I don't have to pay for that one)! I would still trade mine in for a 98 any day though.
You will be happy with either.

That is the holy grail of 12 valves, you can buy an 04 anytime, I'd get the 12 valve.
