I like the idea of the diesel.

However, it would be a lot easier and probably lighter to drop in some iteration of a mpfi Ford 5.0 engine.

Mustang guys in the states have been getting 20 plus MPG from these motors at obscene HP levels. Easy swap. Huge after market support. Probably much lighter than a diesel mill.

Whatever you choose. Good luck. Love to see pics of the build thread.

Duramax is fairly light, @ around 850ish lbs. I would love to see that conversion, but it would be time consuming to say the least.

there's a duramax powered chevelle out there somewhere pushing 700hp
