Cummins or Duramax?

^^ Valid point. Obviously any vehicle can have gremlins. Though I think I like the cummins better. If I got a dmax I would want a 2007.5 or newer for the new body style. Not sure if the motor in those is as good as the previous years if they changed it though.

im talkin putting on aftermarket parts. hey bud you live close... did you start bombin that dmax yet?

Dont forget the room in the backseat if it's a issue for ya. That's my biggest downfall to me for the dodges. My backseat is depressing. I feel bad for others back there.

Hmm. That's something to consider. I would be hauling other people in it. Then I'd also have my daughter's carseat and my girlfriends son's car seat in the back too. Something to think about...

Surprised anyone hasn't chimed in about the ifs vs the proven strait axle. Duramaxes are great but It is hard to beat a 6 speed Cummins in those years. I'm sure you'll be happy with both.

trying to not mod it but I did find a smokin deal on an EDGE evo.. so I do have that and run it on lvl 1 or 2

I want to add tierod sleeves and a shift kit before I do much else power wise.

GMs IFS never gets death wobble,there are Dodges with 5K miles that have it.

I forgot about the death wobble. A buddy of mine had that happen to him on his Grand Cherokee a while back.
