Possible turbo or transmission problem?
I'm looking at a 2000 ford 7.3 powerstroke with 105,000 miles on it and it IS and AUTOMATIC. I'll admit I know next to nothing about diesels and turbos. So when I would floor it I could hear the turbo spooling up and when the transmission went to shift, I think around 3 or 3500 rpms and when it would shift to the next gear to me it seemed as though I lost all the "spool" in the turbo and it would start over and be really slow to go spool up. Like I said I know next to nothing about turbo's and diesels, so please don't be too mean with the comments. I just would like to know if that is normal this to happen, or is this something I should stay away from? Thanks for the help.

Idk boost numbers its a complete stock truck no exhaust no chip no nothing. It sort of seemed like it lost power when it shifted like as if the turbo just stopped i guess? It is kind of hard to explain. Besides that it seemed to shift fine to me.

It did seem to keep the speed and what not but like when it shifted it felt like there was no umf there? Maybe I didn't have it completely floored?
