Looking at an 05 2500 myself. A question, does the "death wobble" still plague the Rams? My 94 and 98 both had issues... Thanks!

yeah i know how you feel i got a couple grand in mine, stupid stuff, u joints, clutch, front connection rod and new steering stabilizers. only 60,000 on it when i got it. everything appears to just be user neglect and could have been avoided.

i just got over my death wobble in mine, but i think it is because the retards that put my tire on never cleaned the water out of it and then dumped those balancing beads in. well i think that over the winter here we had some real crazy cold nights, and i don't drive my truck but on the weekends usually. i think the beads were frozen and that would start the wobble, but with two bad stearing stabilizers, it just made it a whole lot worse. but i just got new tires and new stabilizers and i havn't had a problem with it at all, and i have been driving the hell outa it here the last couple days i got it back.

DEATH WOBBLE HAS ACCURRED ON EVERY DODGE I HAVE HAD AND ON THE FIRST ONE I WENT THROUGH EVERY NEW AND OLD, STOCK AND AFTER MARKET PART AVAILABLE. TWO WORDS "STEERING STABILIZER" . TIRES HAVE ALOT TO DO W/ IT AS WELL, IF THE TRUCK CAME W/ D OR E RATED TIRES ,BUY THEM, I KNOW THERE EXPENSIVE BUT IT WILL PAY OFF IN THE LONG RUN. ALSO IF YOU RUN OVERSIZED TIRES BUY THE DUAL STEERING STABILIZERS. A FEW TIMES GOING THROUGH THE OLD DEATH WOBBLE WILL ALSO CAUSE PREMATURE FAILURE OF YOUR HUB ASSEBLYS. BASICALLY JUST MAINTAIN AND DONT GO CHEAP AND YOU SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

Ask lots of questions... Check Maintenance records if available. Ask about what Mods have been done. Check all fluids. Drive it and have it checked by a trusted mechanic....
