Default Dash problems

Dash gages quit working when key is turned on.Seems like every thing that works through the dash wiring quits.Gages,Chimes,Switched dome lite, and radio.Dash lites still work.Dash repair man checked cluster found no problem there.Any Ideas on what I can check?

My guess would be a bad ground under the dash somewhere...

If I ever find the ground I'm going to clean it.I thought about a little four legged furry critter but have not found any chewed up wires. These new trucks got so much under the dash like hunting needle in hay stack.

1. Check your main fuses. Had the same problem a week ago. Local circuit fuses were ok- it has blown on of the main fuses.
2.Try to get the wiring layout and have a close look at the units not working anymore. Just seek for common power supply and for common ground return. Problem should be located there.

also do a wiggle test before you ask whats that grab wires and shake them see if there is a change while you do it if so thats where you need to focus
