it depends, what was damaged on it to make it a R-title, (assuming it is a Rebuilt title?) can it be registered? was it water damage? fire? frame? you need to know the specifics on it if this is the case..... also if it was damaged you need to get pictures and receipts/proof of what all was done..... that way if something goes bad later on then you have someone to go back to....

what kind of money are they wanting for it?

this guy gets these totaled trucks and rebuilds them i have always had good luck with stuff we got off of him. the price is a little high at 17900 but he would take my 99 which has a reconstructed title on trade.so that would knock it down a little bit. the regular cab doesnt really bother me because then im not a damn taxi for everybody. yea it can be registered but im not sure what caused it to be a r-title. in PA the littlest thing can cuase an r-title so it could be anything. like mine was rolled over and had a new cab put on it im not worried bout the r title im more worried about the motor since i have heard a lot of people have had warranty issues with the 6.7 but most of what i have heard came from the emissions nonsence that is loaded down on these motors. if i elimanated all this stuff would it still be as reliable as the 5.9

from what i have read, take this with a grain of salt, eliminating the DPF, EGR and such and a good tune and those 6.7's are monsters....

Just wondering what garage told you it would not be under warranty? Did they show you in writing? I never thought about it, but a dealership probably doesn't have the ability to look up titles, so if you didn't tell them, they may not even notice... Just a thought.
