Default New to diesels, Need Opinions

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first diesel truck and was wondering what your opinions would be on this one that I found that I'm very interested in. Here are the specs on it.

It's a 2004 F-250 with 259,000 miles
ARP 12m head studs w/ OEM gaskets
EGR delete
"Zoodad" mod
S&B cold air intake
175/100 warren diesel injectors
Swamps diesel 58v FICM w/ PHP atlas tune
Mad turbo werks stage 2 turbo a/billet wheel
FPR blue springs upgrade
Dark horse diesel CCV re-route
Regulated return kit high flo banjos
Areotive regulator SS Lines
Airdog 2 165gph w/ 5/8 lines
Sinister diesel fuel sump
Dieselsite coolant filter kit
Gogo diesel direct solenoid Trans
5" diamond eye straight pipe 6" tip

TUFFY FLOOR MATS
pioneer touch screen
SCT X3
EDGE CTS
5 phantom gauges

Exterior
05 front end and aftermarket grille
08 tailgate
Smoked cab lights
Harley headlights
Smoked tailights
20" led light bar
2 1/2 mini spring lift front
Bilstein 5100s
Rancho in back
35x12.50 general grabber at
20x10 bmf novakanes

My main concern is the tranny, I won't be pulling anything, but I'm sure there will be cases where I want to romp on it. I need something fairly reliable as it will be my DD. Also, are all the bulletproof mods done?

Thank you guys!

There's a few internal parts you didn't mention. For my vote you need the trans addressed. If it's stock better be ready to shell out for it down the road.

I paid $12,000 for my Excursion 6.0L 2004.5+ from dealership in Houston, TX.
It has 96k miles back in 2012, clean and rust free.

I got work done to it myself.
Now is at 160k mile. It still running strong.. only problem I have had with the truck are injector seals.

I change oil every 10,000 miles or once a year for a normal commuting. But I replace oil filter every 5k.
I use only Amsoil and I live in the west north of WA. The climate is alot cooler and cleaner.

I will not recommended if you are using it for towing or living in a hot climate.

Where are you located?
At 260k miles and 15k, it's safe to say you're paying for that list of modifications.
So the first thing I'd ensure is that he has paperwork for all of it, or at least the major things because a lot of that stuff can't be seen just by popping the hood or is something that a normal eye wouldn't be able to find.

With that being said, I'm sure the truck has been ran pretty tough at times judging from the engine modifications. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but your tranny concern is justified.
I'd ask him for a list of paperwork and make sure you can verify it all. Ask him about the tranny at the same time. At 260k miles it's a big possibility it's been rebuilt by now. If so, you'll probably be fine.

And to answer your question, yes. If it truly has those mods, it's bulletproofed the right way.
OEM headgasket, ARP studs, oil cooler rebuild, EGR delete, coolant filtration, and blue spring mod.
