hey yall. im about to take my first step into the diesel world. found what i think to be a good bargain. 2006 dodge black 2500 auto CTD 4x2 megacab, 60000mi, $25000. im thinking that i can talk him down just a tad bit(hopefully around 22-23k). pretty anxious to see what all of yall seasoned diesel owners have to say about it. my pop has an 07.5 4x2 QC and absolutely loves it(except for the insane DPF problems he has with it). ive driven it quite a few times and absolutely fell in love with the cummins. ill be waiting for some feedback. thanks!

 

I would drain trans,install a filter and use sync.atf. Also drain cooling system and refill with Evan's PG coolant.
