Just bought a 85' Ford F 250 6.9L Dually Sunday and I really would like to get a tailgate for it..figure I could find a junkyard somewhere around here locally, but what years/models will work with mine? How much can I expect to pay for one?

 

80-86 will work for sure. BUT IIRC all the way to 98 will work but when the newer body style then what you have wil look a little funny on the body lines

 

80-97. where are you located? i have a few.

But I would have to pay oversized shipping on that..which is not cheap..I could probably buy 2 tailgates for the shipping cost.

Really would like to get a black tailgate to match the truck ..but I guess I can't be to picky.
