Default Help I am looking to buy a Ram 3500 or F350

I really need a little advice on the Dodge. I have been a Ford guy since 2003. I had both the 2003 7.3L and 2004 6.0 Fords. I was very disatisfied with the 04 and the 6.0

I am trying to decide now between the 07 Ford f350 4x4 and the Dodge Ram 3500 4x4. What is better about the Dodge? Or is there anything better. The Dodge is a Quad Cab short bed and the ford is a crew cab with long bed. I certainly do like the room in the ford, but I'm concerned about the motors and MPG.

I would really appreciate honest answers. Thanks

Ok, nobody like dodges here? Here is a chance to bash the Fords......

The Cummins is a great motor and i know we have two of the new Fords at our firehouse one is a dually and the other is not but both F350 and we really don't like them. They suck for fuel mileage and have had a couple of problems. I personally like the dodge a lot better but the fords look cool too.

I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab with a 5.9 motor and i think if you get the 5.9 you cant go wrong with the Cummins. My dad has a 05 dodge cummins 4x4, and he also has a 2002 Ford 4 door Short bed dually 4x4 7.3 power stroke. He can pull a trailer and keep up with my cummins. But he get 12mpg loaded in his ford. and he gets 12 mpg with nothing hooked up to it. im avg. 17.5 mpg unloaded and 13 mpg loaded with my Stock Cummins

I have a 07 3500 SRW QC with the long bed with the 5.9 and I absolutely love it. Even when it was stock it had a great pickup when you hit the gas. And the new 6.7 cummins is really nice except for all the emissions crap, so either way I would go with the dodge even though the back seats aren't really spacious the engine really makes up for the lack of engineering that Dodge has shown.

I like how the fords look especially since 05 but everyone I know who has had 6.0 PSD has had some kind of problem, and I've actually had to let my parents borrow my 97 cummins for a week because of the 6.0 problems. Both of my parents have 6.0s and my dads with minor mods has been the shop 4 times for the EGR and injectors, then my moms has been in for the EGR, injectors, injector o-rings, blown turbo, and a transmission.

dangerous 1965, what do you know about the Duramax. I'm looking at the 07 lbz. I just can't find what people are getting in gas mileage on those.

I have the 06 dodge 3500 right now, but then I made the mistake of driving the duramax after I bought the dodge. Just don't want to sacrifice comfort for gas mileage.

I have had all three and keep coming back to the ford. I like the cummins motor but for my crew the Ford was the only option. You can save some big bucks buying a Dodge. I tow a 40ft Raptor with no problem. I had a 04 Dodge work, 06 Ford, 06 Chevy work and a 08 F250(hated the emission crap). Now I drive a 07 F350 DRW because of the ht\wt of my trailor. Dodge enging solid get the manual, Chevy if you just need a bigger car and its the lightest of the three. Mileage difference is due to V8 vs V6 and the wt of the trucks. Just buy the one you like and drive it!! All three have their pros and cons...bottom line its your $$$$$

cummins is by far the best motor on the market..... But dodges have a lot of drivetrain problems while under a load... they also dont have as sturdy of a frame to body interface.? dont really no the word for it.. like its really easy to make a dodge look like crap... the new fords are really $$$$ AND TAKE alot of fuel... the pros and cons of either = EACH OTHER OUT. if u had the cash id put a cummins in a mid late 1990 early 2000s ford.

got a friend who just traded off his old ford finally it had the 7.3 and he has a 36' gooseneck camper. He ended up going with the chevy for its ride and he has had it for about a month and wishes he would have bought a dodge or ford mainly because when he hooks to his trailer or any trailer the nose goes up in the air. Just for laughs we hooked it to my 3/4 ( before the bags) and mine barely dropped. The chevys have a weaker suspension but i will give it to them they ride nice, but i buy a truck to work and ride like a truck not like a caddy and then have to stare at the sky when i'm driving.
