the cummins engine really makes up for anything wrong that dodge did, i don't care what people say, if you need and engine that will not fail on you get a dodge with the cummins engine, I've been in plenty of loaded down duramax's and they're nice just don't like IFS especially since my lifted dodge on 38.5" tires rides just as good as most GM trucks and it has a better turning radius and they're just a stronger truck all around, diesel world did a test on all 3 of the new model years and dodge won best to tow with and chevy won best all around and ford won nothing, coming in at second on the interior cause everyone knows dodge interiors aren't the nicest but CUMMINS makes up for anything bad trust me

The new dodge is nice if you enjoy getting the dpf cleaned out monthly. I just ordered a dpf delete kit for one of our customers and he said that he has had it cleaned 7 times since he bought it. If i were going to buy a dodge it would be a 04 to 07. I had a 2000 cummins and it was nothing but trouble. Around 90,000 miles I replaced the computer, lift pump, injection pump, and motor within 3 months. I couldnt get cummins to warranty it. I went through everything and they said they would pay for parts and I pay labor. The labor they said was $9000 to put the motor in. Every body says you cant go wrong with a cummins, but I did i went way wrong. All trucks have there problems and there are good and bad ones. I would just go with the one that you like best.

What are you talking about ?? - youve already gotten 4 responses.

The answer is all 3 are good - each one does well but in different areas. You have to give us more info on what your looking for and how you intend to use it - do you want a workhorse? a replacement for your car? highway queen?

I would say - if you intened to work it - go with the Cummins. Thats a no brainer. FYI, the Cummins is the only one that is a medium duty diesel engine.

If you are after creature comforts and ride - get a Duramax.
