Default 95 Powerstroke New Buy

Hey
I am new to the diesel world and found a sweet deal on a 95 Powerstroke (2,500) has quite a bit of mileage 200,000 plus. Was wondering what to look for. The truck has some rust on it, guy I am trying to buy it from said he changed the glow plugs and the clutch. Just curious what some big things I should look at.

Thanks a lot.

Posted this in the wrong section sorry about that!

Make sure he has never ran a resistor in it. Some guys run them all the time but i tend to mess with the truck for good

Make sure it starts fast and crisp. Long crank times are a sign of trouble. Look out for low oil pressure i.e. needle drops or twitches when warm idling.

I had a '97 E350 and it was a nightmare for me... had the above problems. Also had a 95 F350 - it was decent - however, PSD's overall are a costly engine to buy parts for or modify.

If I was buying a Ford of that vintage, I'd rather get a factory IDI turbo (93-94), or convert a cheap gas truck to a 12valve cummins.
