Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking has confirmed that the Cayenne will feature a diesel engine option and arrive sometime in 2010.

The diesel unit is expected to be dropped into the Cayenne unchanged from its Audi Q7 origins so that means the 3.0-litre V6 TDI derv unit will have around 240bhp and 540Nm of torque.

If I had the money I would buy one.

 

Porsche, Audi and VW are all the same company so it doesn't matter much.

 

While the Porsche would be fun - Id have a hard time passing on a Toureg

 

My sis has a Toureg with the gas V8; it is sweet!

 

I was kinda thinking about the diesel but a gasser would probably work.

 

A gasser would work, but the V10 Diesel would be WAY better!

 

VW have a lot of problems over here with the Diesel Touareg's. Customers are tired of constantly travelling to the shops and getting the bugs out.
By the way -this is the first time that Porsche uses an Audi engine...
