I have had two 9000lb warn winches on my jeep and both have let me down due to solenoid problems, had one cheap winch and destroyed the gears for locking the spool after free-wheeling it and now that my jeep is at its biggest stage in life so far(38.5 boggers) and has had it's worst stucks I'm very satisfied with my 9000lb superwinch, it was a third of the price of the warn and has never let me down (yet)

OK guys you got me . all 62 yaers of me feeling bad about buying a recon 17,000 pound winch.
I drive all American Stuff and want to apolgize for buying Asian crap
So to make myself feel good I went into the garge anf found a NEW in box Warm M8000 dated 06/25/04 that I bought for my CJ8 at the Sierra Trek in 2004, will install it as soon as I make a bumper for the Jeep. Found a Warn 5000 pounder that I used as a rear winch on my 78 CJ5 that I sold also found the Warm 8000 external brake standup winch, an early version of the M8274 ,that was on the front of the CJ5.
Sold my 12000 pound Ramsey to a friend for 4 or 5 hundred dollars when i sold my F250 back in 1990 never thinking I would be outfitting a Big truck again.
You know its kinda hard to tell the wife of 43 years that the family room floor is being put on hold so I can buy a $2000 dollar american winch on our retirement income for a truck that has no business being off road in the first place.
BTW we are doing the labor ourselves as its free labor . Dam wood eating bugs!
