1 or 2 piece driveshaft
Posting in here to get input from all brand camps. My driveline flew apart while I was driving down the road and I need a new one. My best guess is the carrier bearing somehow failed and caused the whole thing to just start whipping around.
I can get another 2 piece from the junkyard from around $100-150 just like the one I had
or
I can get a Tom Woods 1 piece made for $350. Keep in mind I don't really have the money for this option and I'd have to come up with it, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with going from 2 to one piece or an opinion on the matter. My angle is pretty harsh which is why I haven't gone to a 1 piece yet, and I'm not sure if I'm better off staying with a 2 piece or going to a one piece with harsher angles.
If I get the one piece I'm going to tilt the motor/trans back a bit and probably shackle flip the rear to help out a bit, but in the end its still a pretty good angle.

my best results ive found with these is a one piece thick driveline. get the rear axle assembly at the exact same degree as the driveline, than convert the front to a cv. also takes out the vibration. but most shops wont make a one piece driveline anywhere over 70" or so
Have you measured or had your shop measure your truck for a one piece? They should know if it'll work or not...
Don't know what you are driving, but perhaps a step up to 1410 yokes and joints would help?

i haven't measured it exactly yet, because if i decide to go with the 1 piece I'm going to do the shackle flip to bring up the pinion angle and drop the *** of the trans about an inch.

i went through that same process as you with the 12 valve cummins in the chevy. mine is an extended cab long bed i went with a 2 piece stock chevy and shortened the shorter side by 2.5" inches and it fit right in with new u joints. i also have a shackle flip on my truck as well
