Also is there a modification aftermarket that could effect (without going 4 wheel steering even if that's fun it would be impractical I think on a DD) But hydraulic steering to get more movement in the tire itself or would you have to replace or customize the entire axle to allow for sharper turn radius?
Quad cab short bed is what I am looking at..hey I sat in the back of a dodge colt when I was a kid and I still grew up to 6 foot 3 they can deal!!! Mega cab is too big in general

want my advice? Get an older rig like a 94-98 FOrd Powerstroke. IT will take a bit more dough to make these run good but you can do it. Especially for the money you'll be spending on the trucks your looking at.
an 88-98 Dodge will do ya pretty good too. easier to get power out of.
For Chevys I would do an older one with a 6.2 or 6.5 if your dead set on diesel power(other wise I'd use a regular 350) however neither of those will be particuarly fast.
SUspension is all a matter of what you want to do with your truck and changin it to get there. You can buy an older truck and pop some money into a custom suspension and engine work and still be the same price of a new rig with out any mods.
