i got a customer thats got a 03 cummins. it will start sometimes but dies after awhile. codes are p 2509/ p0341/ and p0480. he says he has got about 6 to 8 lb on fuel at idle when it runs. he has bought new injectors (not from me)he bought local. can anyone help thanks.

 

P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent
P0341 Camshaft Position Sensor Performance / Rationality
P0480 Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit/Open (Low Speed Fan Relay)

Sounds like a possible bad ECM/PCM

 

that was my gut feeling but was in hope.

 

Check for bad connections.

 

ok i will tell him. he replaced injectors to fix this problem but didnt. it might start and run fine for a couple mins. then start acting up or die.

 

I am told I have bad injectors on my 03
Curious what you have done to correct your problems?


I sure don't want to buy injectors that I don't need

please advise

 

he took it over to brians shop and they found out he messed the tubes on the injectors. runs good now
