Aaron, they are NOT by-passing the DPF without issues. These guys can do all they want but their trucks dont run like they think it does and they are having drivability issues and dont even know it. Lets see one of them try to make some power. When the industry experts with the right tools and money crack the algorithm's then I'll say that someone has truely by-passed the system. Until then it's not possible yet. The DPF cant be overcome by trying to fool a couple of sensors like we have gotten away with on the LB7, LLY, and LBZ. This is the same technology that has been used in plants for years with Thermal Oxidizer's. It's not new, just a whole lot more complicated now that DOT and the EPA have a say in how it works. Gonna take a lot more than trying to fool some sensors because there are several algorithms that are used to control the system and feedback to the ECM.

All is agreed, that is exactly why I am not going to do the MBRP duals until they are efficient, and why I had to be inebriated to cut the ugly tip off of mine. I think I read somewhere that EFI is getting close to being able to by pass the sensors. Risk>Reward I am going to stay stock.

Right now I think EFILive and PPE are close according to a couple I've talked to inside the companies. The problem is that there is more than one algorithim that all inter link so it's ALMOST like trying to crack an encrypted military communication transmission. If they can get it done it should open up the Ford's and Dodge's also because they are all basically using the same type of system.

Would an LBZ sound like that with stacks? rolloffhill, I agree, the stacks are too far away from the cab, and I think that a larger diameter stack would also look better. It's hard to tell, but are those around a 4" or 5" diameter?

An LBZ would sound real close, or in fact I was driving down the road today next to an LB7 and it sounded a lot like that. Only difference was it was straight piped not stacked.
