Default beefing up the allison

I have been wanting to put a better chip in my truck and a few other mods, but I am concerned about the transmission. What are some of the ways to upgrade the transmission so that it could handle the power without having to replace it all together? any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's not really a lot of options for the Allison aside from a rebuild in the 01-04 trucks. You can also try this out, with a better torque convertor.
