Default Cat or NO Cat???

I see exhuast kits for "cat-back" exhaust... I've looked all over my truck exhaust and see no cat from the manifolds back... Is this common for the LB7? Should i be looking somewhere else (like behind the turbo, or wherever)? It's a stock exhaust other than stuff i've done...

there is a flange in the middle of the factory exahust, the front pipe and back pipe are separate, the back pipe includes the muffler, the front pipe attaches to the up pipe, on the LB7 there is no cat, but the aftermarket exhaust would attach to the front pipe, replacing the stock muffler and back pipe.... its easy, just unbolt the factory back pipe, wrestle it out of the truck, and install the aftermarket kit, i would just get the "turbo back" exhaust

10-4... no wonder its soo freakin loud with the muffler delete pipe... it's throaty tho, i love the way it sounds... I've been looking into the 4" and 5" exhaust - what would be the benefits of both/either???

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Just FYI... I would recommend a muffler delete pipe at least for the noise it makes, if nothing else... Makes that diesel sound like a truck!

I like my 4 in straight piped exhaust. 5 inch kinda sounds like something is breaking imo.
