About a 70-90 horse tune is all your stock Alli will handle.. I would look at the Edge Juice with Attitude for on the fly adustability.. It can definately hurt your tranny.. its all in how you drive it.

Something else to consider, its probably just as hard on the allison to have tunes switched.. You really need to reset and let your trans relearn when you change tunes.. and you cant do that on the fly.

EFI Live w/DSP 2 or 5. Have your tranny learn the highest setting. Hardest part will be staying w/a mild tune to help the tranny survive.

Well look at it this way...if you would like to buy them now just think how bad you're going to want them once you start having more power. In my opinion just go ahead and get EFILive and be set for the future. Since you have an LB7 you'll have the DSP5 capability. I have EFILive without a trans and love it, my trans may not but thats my own fault

Yeah, EFI and Suncoast is the way to go...lot of money though. I'd like to do the same thing. Right now I just got a Bullydog on it, just set on tow mode (50hp extra). Makes a huge difference. Truck still won't do insane burnouts, but it's definitely a great feel over stock. For a first upgrade, I think it's perfect.
