Question Boosting Fuel Economy

The Edge Juice with Attitude states that it's possible to boost fuel economy by 2MPG...What conditions does this work best in? Is that 2MPG better @ 65mph on the freeway? Are there any other good ways to boost fuel economy without running a custom engine tune? Some of the other chips claim to boost fuel economy, but I have not seen any solid numbers of how much. Any advice?

most programmers will increase your mpg. the hey is to keep your foot out of the throttle. that is the key to getting milage.

Opening the exhaust and intake helps quite a bit.

Take the edge box and stick it under your skinny pedal, u will see ur 2mpg gain there

its easier to see the gains if you keep ur foot out of it, and 65 is a nice slow speed, if you can make urself go that speed the whole time u can do 20mpg no problem

haha...
Yeah, sticking to 65 is the trick...I heard the new Allison 6spd double overdrive will give 1-2mpg better at ~65-70mph.

How do the guys who get 30mpg do it, what programmers are they using?

Well, I probably won't touch the stock airbox/filter. I read that the stock filter filters out more dust than the aftermarket filters. I guess it's a tradeoff- more power less clean air, or less power, cleaner air. Either way, I'm not entirely sure what the best aftermarket system is for an LB7. As far as exhaust goes, I'm sold on the MBRP 4"

IF.. and thats a big IF I keep my foot out of it.. and put the PPE on lvl 2 or 3 I can average 21.6mpg around 70 mph.. thats hand calculated.. @ 55mph I can get near 24 hand calculated..

But I keep it on the highest level and i DONT keep my foot out of it, so I average around 15
