General Motors has issued a recall for the 2005 - 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, the 2007 - 2010 Pontiac G5, the 2005 - 2006 Pontiac Pursuit (Canada), and the 2005 - 2006 Pontiac G4 (Mexico). We have had my daughters Cobalt in 2 times for this, it is bad too. It seems like hers only did it in the turn, you have to turn the car off and re start it to get it too work properly. After the most recent trip to the dealership it is fixed though. The report says "After our in-depth investigation, we found that this is a condition that takes time to develop. It tends to occur in older models out of warranty," That is not true, hers started happening before the first oil change.
Easy enough for an experienced driver, not so much for a 16 year old new driver.
