what will ford do without navistar to make thier engines for them.

 

They've already created the 6.7l scorpion and testing it now

 

Navistar has been nothing but an achilles heel since the 7.3 PSD. The 6.0 was a recall nightmare and the 6.4 remains to be seen. I have had both and had no problems with either, but I work the 6.4 way harder than I ever worked the 6.0. I also hot rodded the 6.0 and drove it like I stole it!

 

the 6.0 from navistar was a total disaster and lawsuits all over for recalls between the companies, thats why ford dropped them. I haven't read into the new in house motor, but hopefully its built better than the ford gassers.
I always wondered though... If you look at the power ratings between international and ford on the same motor, ford is tuning them way up. Thats gotta have an effect on reliability although I don't know squat about the 6.0. My dad had a 7.3 and had A LOT of problems the first 50,000 miles, but he drove it like he stole it and I think ford just tuned it too hot for its own good for people like him.
I'm a chevy guy. I like tailgates that don't work and doors that scrape, but I'm drunk enough to give a fair opinion on fords...
to each their own. I've seen some sweet psd's and hopefully the new ford motor will make enough for the new chev motor to be even better.
