Default Say goodbye to 789 Chrysler dealerships!

In accordance with bankrupcy hearings, Chrysler submitted a list of 789 dealerships today that are slated to close by the end of 2010. The bankrupcy court still has to agree to this, but it looks pretty likely that they will close them. The dealership that is closest to my house is on the list

I am in ND and with the dealer closing it looks like the closest dealer will be 150 miles. This really ticks me off. I might end up ordering a new F450 instead of the new ram because of this.

Just read the article in the newspaper yesterday that GM is gettin ready to announce they're closings here shortly and the preliminary announcement was for over 1000 dealerships to go. We'll see how it pans out in the end and I'm sure the Ford announcement is on it's way also.

Ford has already closed some dealerships. The ones in Elk Grove CA and Fairfield CA went by the wayside. Both of them were large parts of auto malls. The rest of the auto mall is still there, except for Saturn.
