We built a electric car at our high school, the shop teacher was always saying that an electric car could dominate at drags, the TQ you can get out teh engines is so great that if set up right with gearing ect it would be hard to beat

with the old lead acid batteries ya but with the new generation of Lithium Ion batteries those thing can make some serious power, and weigh 2K pounds less than an ordinary car....
