Default CRD miss under load

My 05 CRD Liberty will have a miss sometimes under load. Colorado driving has some ups and downs (hills) of course and my diesel will sometimes miss a beat (seems like one cylinder doesn't fire occasionally) going up a grade at highway speeds. The check engine light doesn't come on, the engine never quits, and it doesn't seem to do it on flat ground. Any ideas?

As you already mentioned- you have to get checked the injectors or the control.

Interesting thing is the height. Because boost is almost steady behind the turbocharger no matter of height.
Check with the dealer if there is any ECM upgrade for you!

Air filter ok? Or did you get a bad batch of diesel. Try to get a different(better) fuel! Have in mind the outside temperature- check the fuel filter (when was it changed the last time) and preheating element.
Just check the simple things you can do first- injectors aren't cheap. Take a note where and when it misses!

Default thanks for the reply

It's actually my girlfriend's '06 CRD and it has done it on occasion since she bought it. I'm going to change the fuel filter and try and watch to see if there is any puff of exhaust when it misses a beat.
