Default electric radiator fan

Any tips on where to get a replacement electric radiator fan for less than the $300+ the dealer wants?

Your best bet would be to just by a twin fan or single fan universal setup and just wire the two wires in to your stock connector, enjoy! Maybe search ebay or google "universal electric fan" and see what comes up Many auto parts around your area can order them and I think a universal fan can run around $80-$120.

Much to my surprise, I found a used fan at the local salvage yard, $125. It has not totally fixed the overheating under load.

Overheating under load is not caused by the fan.
Check the radiator itself.
- Are the fins still there?
- Radiator blocked from mud?
- What kind of radiator do you have?
Alloy or brass/ copper? It is not uncommon to have the fins corroded away with the copper radiator.
Flush the radiator.
Is your coolant/water mixture at minimum of 50/50?
