Okay a riddle for all. Put new rotors and new pads on the front of the truck little less than a year ago. After about 2 months they start getting a little jumpy. I think WTF are the rotors warped? No as it doesn't happen all the time. The truck bounces up and down when it happens, not front to back like a warped rotor would. This weekend I take the wheels off, purchased a nice new set of slotted/drilled rotors just in case. Everything looks cool (barely any wear on the rotor). Now I didn't have a dial indicator to see if the rotor is warped, but it looked darn near brand new? Note: original shocks with 108k on 'em so I know they need replacing. What is the verdict? Pedal never moves so I don't think it is the anti-lock system. Maybe a stuck caliper? No pulling either. Maybe it is just the worn out shocks? What say the jury?

Sounds like you have a break line that is starting to corrode form the inside. I had one on my 01 and it caused the breaks to stick, felt like a caliper but it was the line. The original shocks are not helping you either, when you go over a bump does it take a while for the truck to settle?

Yea it takes a while to settle, I know the shocks are shot.

I would start with the shocks then. If you still get the jerky feeling after replacing the shocks then there is something wrong with the brakes.

Here's where everyone it at! I'll repeat my story......
So I got in the truck Monday and it cranked a little slower, oh well it sat from Wed night, dirty batteries(?). Coming home from work, it smelled in the vents from batteries cooking.... popped the hood and the pass side batt was venting just idling. So drove from beltsville, battery was HOT!! I got my induction amp meter, charging 10-15 amps, checked the pass battery, it was drawing 50amps to ground!! Got some Exide batteries from Salvos and started putting them in at 7:30 done after dark. Today charging good, my meter was dead so got one at work 14.45 volts running and 12.9 off. The dead battery case was bulging, showed 10.5 volts. Probably orig batteries.
Well that was fun!!

Mine did not swell up but I have already replaced mine, less than three years and they were bad. There goes $404 for two batteries, then a few weeks ago the Jeep battery dies, there went another $100. I better be good on batteries for a long while.

Travis what batteries did you put in?

Truck = Diehard Platinum, they are the same as an Odyssey, just cheaper and easier to have the warranty honored.

Jeep = Autozone Duralast Gold

Quite a few of us have those "gold" batteries, hehe.
