ANTI DEFUELING DEVICE (ADD) CUMMINS GROUP BUY
Hopefully this will start an informative debate...
With the Race Pro, Tow Pro or most other brands of modules that plug in the map sensor, you will not need a boost fooler. You will probably need an adjustable wastegate to prevent the stock one from opening but should not need a boost fooler.
Please someone chime in with some facts and prove me wrong LOL

Ok, so comp and smarty stack you say no, but what if my truck still falls on its face and seems to defuel through the computer with this stack and the waistgate tied shut,? Not to Hijack but I'm gonna
Maybe my VP is weak and losing it on the top end? I dont know I'm just trying to gather info, cause I've tried map sensor, all possible setting combos, Fass 150, adjustable waistgate,,,,bla bla bla. If it might even help a little to do an ADD then I'm in, unless somebody can give me some other ideas.

ok i've got a question.....i was doing some reading on BD's web site and from what i read there is a big difference between a "boost fooler" and a "anti defueler"......and there is a big price difference as well from 60ish for the boost fooler to like 250ish for the anti defuler which according to BD's website will keep the truck from defueling in the higher rpms and before shifts in an auto.....maybe dave can clear this up better
Yes they are completely different.
The BD Anti Defueler will eliminate Torque Management and the Boost Fooler will eliminate the defueling caused by over boost. I will break these two units down as best as I can.
Torque Management is built into 2000 and up Dodge Rams 5.9L, it is designed to defuel the motor when the vehicle is producing boost but the speed sensor is not detecting speed. For example if you were at the track and holding the brake while loading the turbo up and launched a 15PSI of boost the computer would see 15 or more psi or boost but very little speed and cut the fuel causing the truck to fall on its face. To eliminate this from happening you would use the BD Race Anti Defueler known now as the BD Top Speed Eliminator with R.A.D. (Race Anti Defueling) technology. The Top Speed Eliminators also include tire size calibrator feature that works on trucks up to 2004.
Overboost: is when you are cruising at certain speed or pulling a trailer and get onto the throttle hard which is obviously going to spike your boost up. The trucks are not designed to make much more than 22-25 psi, so they program them to start to defuel at 22-25 PSI. On a stock truck you would have to work it pretty hard to get those number but with a chip or tuner we all know that is very easy. So to prevent the defueling programmed into the computer you would use a boost fooler. Like I stated befor, most chips that come with a map sensor plug include this boost fooler but a tuner or injectors obviously do not have this option, thus need a boost fooler.

I just got a private message regarding a RAD box and it made me realize that I forgot to mention that you do not need a RAD box if you have a manual transmission unless you want the top speed eliminator and tire calibrator.
The manual transmissions do not have torque management.

I got a set of RV275's that I'm wanting to put in my truck sometime in the near future. I am really interested in one of these and I'm pretty sure I would have to get an adjustable boost elbow to see any benefits. Do yall thing this boost fooler will work in this setup? Thanks
With the info provided by BDDave on this issue, no your Edge Juice is already providing the same benefits that this product would help with. Your gonna see a huge difference in your truck once you install those injectors with the Edge. You should be pretty close to the same power levels listed in my signature.
