They all have problems, weaknesses, and downfalls. Some more then others. At the end of the day, if it gets you home and you like it, that's all that matters.

I can say MY DAD owned a 6.0 when i was still in high school and it gave him so many problems he said **** diesels period and now owns a 2010 tundra , thats why i stayed away from ford when i bought my first diesel, and my choice was based on experience, it's really gay sitting along side the highway with a truck that won't start and it being 90 degrees out.

Ive been having more bashing from the guys with the gas engines than anything. Man I had someone tell me there 8.1L V8 was better than my diesel, I just laughed and said come see me when that 8.1 gets to 180,000 miles lets compare how much you spent on reapirs and parts to me on mine. But seriously its all preference really they all get the job done. Every vehicle will have problems, I have no problems with any of the big 3. My main reason for getting the cummins is the reliability and cheapness of the 12 valve p-pump. And honestly I love those 6.0L powerstrokes they sound wicked and are pretty quick.

Big gassers in heavy duties are worthless IMO. My friends dad works for a company that does brickwork for factories and stuff and they have 5 ford duallies ranging from 7.3 to 6.7. They also have a v10 dually which is worthless they tow heavy everyday and when one of the diesels went down on the highway the gasser didnt have enough grunt to pull the trailer up some of the hills on the highway . Honestly I get more flack from 7.3L owners about my truck, I use to have one but one performance trans and sucky suspension later and I was done. My truck is faster, nicer, rides better, tows better and most of them seem to have sticks stuck up their a$$

Absolutely, these engine can run like a raped ape when built up right, and no other exhaust tone has a more wicked sound IMO. Then there is always the Powerstroke currently known as the Cummins eater (I'm not bashing just hear me out)...the 6.4L monster, with Aaron Rudolph taking some gold medals away from 12V and 24V trucks, laying down 1200HP+ pulls
