Default Injector service

Can you send in diesel injectors in to be cleaned, flow balanced and basicly rebuilt and if so who does it? I have sent in gas injectors to RC Engineering and was looking to do the same for my truck. There is nothing wrong with them other then 100k miles and just lookin to freshen them up.

You might try calling someone like Industrial Injection. They have test benches, I'm sure if you talk to someone there, they could at least point you in a good direction.

Flow Balancing requires EDM work. It can be done but will cost more than a normal R&R.

What does EDM mean? My gas ones were flow matched and I just threw that in with the description of what I was lookin for. Maybe just clean them real good (not the intank kinda cleaning) and bring em back to new like condition . Thanks for the info

EDM is Electro Discharge Machining. Basically they use this to enlarge the injector holes to allow more flow.

To have them tested is $250-350 depending where you take them and if you want them to be "like new" then you would be looking at having them flowed. This requires a different machine to test the nozzles themselves and to be quite honest you would be better off to just have them checked and cleaned.

I say that because "like new" to me would mean that the nozzles would be checked for hole wear and if any found they would be EDM'd so all holes were perfectly round and all 6 nozzles were matching.
