dont really think thats the same thing, isnt there a significant HP difference between those two engines?

and if youve drove a 1st gen powerstroke, they arent very peppy stock. After driving stock 12 valves, and getting into my pawpaws (grandfathers) stock 1st gen powerstroke, I just really dont feel a "wow" factor. I mean it'll pull whatever you want it to, but its still kind of a dog on acceleration. but I think it may still have a broader powerband than the Cummins like yall say

Look at the 94 model year trucks, you had the choice of a 7.3 IDI N/A, IDI turbo, and the new Power Stroke. The PSD option was introduced mid year.But having both as an option would have been a good idea too.
True, I know, its not a perfect example because of the circumstances, but its the best I could come up with haha

the ford inline 6 in the mustang was a 200 or 250 cid engine while the 289 was 289... however the torque on the inline 6 was higher then the 289... but if I remember right it was only 20-30 lb-ft more.
