Best day was when my injector pressure regulator had an o ring fail. truck was running when I pulled in to fuel up. Shut down, filled it up only to find it would not restart. Doors open hood up and on the phone with aaa, no hose in the filler I had to tell 4 people not to wait for me it will not start. 2 guys asked what it did so i told them and they replied i dont know anything about diesels. girl asked same thing trying to flirt. I was not in the mood. Got asked if maybe i put gas instead of diesel in it. showed them reciept. then someone said if it was a manual we could push out of the way. It is a manual but you can also push an automatic. wow what a day.

 

"Do you have a chip on it?" (while riding in it taking the kid home)
"Yeah i do"
"oh cool, i can hear it"

the only time i hear my programmer is when i drop it, which i try not to do all that often

 

ha i have a 6 pos. so its bolted to my fuse panel, it doesn't get dropped... you can hear a difference in the exhaust tone..... but i HIGHLY doubt thats what he was talking about

 

I got this one day.

Random Guy. " Hey man uhhhh why'd you leave it running and go in the store. You know you're wasting gas."
Me. "No bud I'm not wasting gas."
Random Guy "Well your truck is running awfully weird."
Me. "I know I can't seem to find out why it is... Its also blowing alot of smoke out of the exhaust. Do you think you could stand by the pipe and see?"
Random Guy. "Sure thing bud not a problem."
Me. "OK! Here we go"..
Random Guy *Choking on Smoke*
Me. "Later Dude!"

 

I've been asked if my truck was 4x4. Been told to let my glow plugs warm up in my 5.9. And my dad keeps telling me I should've got the shortbed, even though I NEED all 8ft of my longbed.

 

when i had my old dodge (95 1/2 ton) "is that thing a diesel?" or "will it blow smoke" when it clearly said 1500 on the door.

even with my new dodge
idiot:"will it blow smoke?"
Me: "no sir. my exhaust, fender and bumper are black because my brakes are failing?"

idiot:"what size exhaust you got on that thing? 5in?"
me:"umm no 9 1/4in."

and my personal favorite...
idiot:"is that exhaust factory?"
me:"yes, the 65lb farmall red 9 1/4in exhaust tip that is re-barred to my frame is factory"
