Today while changing the trans cooler, our new guy stopped by to see what was going on. The hood was open and he was looking at my compound turbos. "That's not stock, is it?". I replied "No, its slightly modified, different filter". We don't think he is all there.

The '99 Diesel Cherokee is really rare- even in germany.
So I went to a major Shell gas station with those really smart service attendants.
I stopped as usual at the diesel fuel pump- suddenly the service attendant started to run towards me and started to shout: No- do not use the Diesel pump!
I opened the filler neck and inserted the nozzle - and the service attendant ripped it out again! I was going like: WTF?
Then the service attendant explained: You HAVE a gasser, you have to get fuel from the gas pump!
I answered a bit surprised: Oh, really - why do I have to get gas?
Service: Because they never built diesels!

me: Ah, ok - so I got the wrong fuel forever? (and started to smile).

Then the owner of the gas station came out and excused himself for the attendant. They give unemployed people the chance to make some extra money with service.
In this case it would be better to stick with washing the windshields and cleaning the wipers...

 

Was filling up yesterday on my way home from my relatives and had a guy in a 2008 f250 with the triton, and he looked at my truck and said "why would you buy a dodge? and of all dodges you got a Cummins, you know a Hemi woulda been faster than that POS? And I looked at him and smiled and asked if he was going north or south? he Replied "South", and I said "well I'll let you pull out and get on the highway first, then i will show you what a Cummins can do compared to your gasser." He then went on about how diesels are the slowest things on earth, Well after i blew his doors off i hope his views on diesel motors have changed.

 

You know what he'll say? You didn't say 'go'. Or, I wasn't ready! lmao

 

my grandmas truck can outrun a triton

 

What can't outrun a triton? but it was the fact he thought my truck was slow and how dodges are terrible trucks. Well, i enjoyed putting him in his place.

 

Heck, my last truck was a V10 Triton and I knew Diesels would walk all over me. Maybe the guy was to proud to admit defeat, or he was smokin some really crazy stuff.

 

I have a 91 cummins, someguy told me you know if I had your truck I would just throw a chip and a smarty on it and be done. I replied, how stupid are you?

 

I can't even count the times people have argued about me having a programmer or not.
"you got a programmer on that?"
"nope"
"you sure? sounds like you do"
"it's MY truck I'm pretty sure I would know if it has a programmer or not"

Every time I fuel up I check my oil, coolant and air filter, guy came over "you do know this is a 12 volt system right?" "yea I know" "then why are you running 2 batteries and making it a 24 volt?" I put my hand on his shoulder and said "how about you go learn a thing or 2 about diesels then come talk to me" "this is a diesel?" "no I just am filling up at the diesel pump and have a badge on the fender that says 'powerstroke turbo diesel' for ***** and giggles" "when did they start putting diesels in pickups?" "go....just go"
