May be right, I'm just wonderin about that gasser car that GM is developing that runs like a diesel.https://www.dieselbombers.com/bomb-shelter/4575-gm-unveils-diesel-like-gasoline-engines.html I just wonder why they don't make them diesels. Seems to me like they are going to be finnicky because gas is so volatile.

The fact that diesel engines are able to run multiple fuels and some renewable energy's IMO sets it as having a Definite grasp on the future for American Motorists

The averave motorist still pictures a convoy of smokin Peterbuilts and Kenworths with Chris Christopherson in the lead when you mention "Diesel" to them and are not interested in polluting the air anymore than Al Gores personal jet already does in one trip across the US promoting his stance on global warming.
A few Diesels are making it into the market now but out of 125 million peeps driving 2.5 cars per household, we are still around 1% total diesels in the US i believe.
I am not a tree hugger nor do i believe AL Gore has even an ounce of sanity but people have had a bad taste in there mouth about Diesels ever since the 80s and its going to take a while for that to change. I read where VW was stepping up production in the US to beter compete with its Asian competition so maybe they will introduce more and more diesels...after all those Germans like there diesels.

F150's are coming out with diesels in them , and every other vehicle manufacture is gearing up to mass produce some diesel powered vehicle's , It seems obvious to me

yes they are and if they sell is another thing. You have to cater to more than just the truck owners to get to the majority though...SUVs, grocery getters, etc. Jeep put out the CRD in the Liberty and it was WAY underpowered and wasn't selling well. Now they have the Cherokee and i haven't heard much on that. Not saying it won't happen but it will be a long transition time i think. 1% is a long ways from a majority.
