Default diesel mechanics

i guess this is kind of a stupid question for this site but i was thinkin about changing majors to diesel mechanics. i was wondering what kind of salary i would be looking at coming out of college and what the future of the industry is looking like, aka job security.

if your able to move where theres jobs, then there is good pay and job security. when i graduated from nadc, i was offered 18 to start out with in Georgia. but my ex-wife didnt want to mave that far from family

The industry is real slow right now. Especially at dealerships. But like Ed said if your willing to travel there are good jobs out there.
