I am looking into putting a 4bt into my 84 dodge 150 4x4 short bed. I want a good daily driver but also be able to pull a load and smoke the 33" tires ofcoures so i have been doing some research and and found some performance parts but not alot. Heres what i have found...Dynomite Diesel Fuel Pin, 3200 rpm spring, Lucas Prince Of Darkness (POD) Injectors, and i would love a twin turbo setup!!! My biggest question is probly the injectors. The POD's are the only ones I have found. Is anybody runin these or know of a good set of performance injectors for the 4bt? It will be a ve pumped engine and i will have an intercooler! Not sure about the turbos yet but any help would be greatly appreciated!! I would like to at least break the 200hp mark and am pushing for the 250hp mark or higher!!! What do you think???

 

PM Smokem here on the board. He was building some 1st Gen VE injectors and there is a thread in the first gen performance forum about it. How about a Denny T pin over the DDP? I don't know a whole lot about the VE trucks....just enough to be dangerous. All the stuff for the 6bt should work you just have 2 less. Diesel Power Magazine had a power building recipe book in this last issue for the VE trucks....might be worth the read too.

Thanks i have checked out the 4bt conversion website and found it helpfull in a few ways. I will be lookin into it some more and good luck on your 4bt swap anybody got an idea on the turbos?
